EPISODE ONE
“What Lies Beneath”

Delilah learned that an undetected shale barrier separates Vernon's Willis Pointe oil deposit from a much larger deposit. She schemed to keep the secret from Vernon and secured her purchase of the adjacent land. Unfortunately, Vernon acquired the same information and used unfriendly tactics to blackmail the real estate agent, Ben Chamberlain, into selling the land to him. Darlene made it clear to her father and to her husband, Roger, that their marriage is over. Roger reluctantly agreed to move out of the mansion, part of Vernon's plan to help Roger repair the damaged relationship. Vernon later made Darlene the offer she has always dreamed of; a position of power at Montgomery Oil. Of course there was a catch; she must stop the divorce proceedings. Delilah was furious when she learned Ben gave into Vernon's blackmail and sold the land out from under her. She reminded him that he signed the lease options on the oil over to her and that she intended to drag him through a VERY messy court battle where his secrets WOULD be revealed. She later served Vernon with a court summons. Vernon later called Ben Chamberlain to threaten him, only to learn that the escrow papers were never filed! Ben turned the tables and committed suicide while on the phone with him!



EPISODE TWO
"The Barrier"

Vernon was furious when he learned Delilah had seduced real estate agent Daniel Hubbard, and secured the sale of the Willis Pointe property for herself! Roger was horrified when Vernon revealed his next move; to place illegal military explosives in shafts that he had drilled into the shale barrier. Roger threatened to stop him when geologist Jack Reynolds warned of possible disaster, but Vernon reminded him of how precarious his position with Darlene really is. Meanwhile Lionel was upset when Darlene asked him to respect her decision to stay with Roger. He then approached Delilah and offered to have Sinco refine oil exclusively for Dane/VanBuren Petroleum. Meanwhile, Amelia began having nightmares about a murder at a lake. Darlene was stunned to learn just how much medication her mother is taking and surmised that it could be the cause of the dreams. Meanwhile, Jack and Roger tried desperately to talk Vernon out of his plan to breech the shale barrier, but to no avail. They watched in horror as Vernon ordered the charges to be detonated. The result was a rumbling explosion, causing one of Vernon's oil wells to catch fire. On the verge of making love, Lionel and Delilah witnessed the explosion.



EPISODE THREE
"The Blackmailer's Club"


Darlene confronted Vernon about the psychotropic drug that Amelia has been taking.  Darlene, in turn, revealed that Amelia had sought out the help of a hypnotherapist to sort out her strange dreams.  Amelia agonized over whether Vernon could be her father's killer,. Vernon surmised to Simms that Amelia was indeed beginning to remember the events at the lake when she began asking questions about a lake on the Montgomery property that Vernon had drained and filled in.  Amelia finally confronted Vernon about the night at the lake but was shocked when he locked the door and presented a syringe.  Believing he was going to kill her to keep her silence, she finally accused him of being her father's killer only to have Vernon reveal the horrible truth ... that her father had lured Vernon out to the lake that night to call a truce and accept their marriage, but that Silas' true intend was to kill him. Amelia had followed them out there and shot her father to protect Vernon!

Delilah learned that her drill team struck oil at Willis Pointe.  Her jubilance was short lived, however, as her sister, Raven, arrived home with the news that she had withdrawn from college and was moving home to stay.  Delilah used her normal control tactics, which only fueled Raven's fire.  Raven communicated with an unknown person, vowing to give Delilah the shock of her life.  Chet decided to ask Delilah out on a quiet dinner date, but she politely shot him down.  So when Raven showed up at DVP, he decided to make a show of flirting with her and asking her out.

Lionel turned the tables on Vernon and broke the contract between SinCo Refineries and Montgomery Oil.  Vernon threatened to destroy him, but Lionel only relished it more.  Lionel's brother TJ arrived from England  with an obvious agenda.  Darlene confronted Lionel about the contract, accusing him of doing it out of revenge.  While there, Darlene had a dizzy spell and nearly fainted, explaining it as a touch of the flu.  She later took a pregnancy test, only to learn the results were positive!



EPISODE FOUR
"The Family Way"


Darlene confronted Vernon about the psychotropic drug prescribed to Amelia. Vernon explained that Amelia takes many medications, and becomes upset when he learns Amelia has removed herself from it. He becomes frantic when he learns Amelia went to a hypnotherapist. She questions Vernon about a lake on the Montgomery property. He tells her he had it drained and filled in when a young boy drowned in it. He later tells Simms that he fears Amelia is beginning to remember the lake. Amelia struggled with her newly recovered memories of her father being shot. She wonders if Vernon really could have killed Silas. Delilah is jubilant when she learns her drill team made their first strike. Her good fortune is overshadowed though, when her younger sister, Raven arrives home from school unannounced. Raven secretly plots a little revenge. Meanwhile, Lionel and Vernon exchange barbs when Vernon learns Lionel has broken their contract. Vernon vows revenge and storms out, triumphant that he was able to keep Lionel from his daughter. Lionel is shocked when his older brother, TJ, arrives unannounced. Darlene later arrives at SinCo to confront Lionel about the broken contract with Vernon. Lionel coldly tells her that it is business and the decision stands. Darlene becomes lightheaded, explaining that the doctor told her it was a touch of the flu. Roger comes in and tells Lionel that he will be sorry for crossing Vernon. Darlene later takes a pregnancy test and learns….she’s pregnant! Amelia confronts Vernon in the attic with old photos of the lake and tells him she remembers the truth about how Silas died. Vernon locks the door and brandishes a syringe. Amelia becomes terrified thinking Vernon is going to kill her until he unleashes the truth on her … that Silas lured Vernon out there on the pretense of a truce, but it was a lie. Silas intended to kill Vernon. Amelia followed them out there and shot Silas to protect Vernon! The episode ends with Amelia’s pained scream.



EPISODE FIVE
"Unstable Ground"


Darlene was guilt ridden when she and Melissa were told by Vernon that Amelia had suffered a breakdown as a result of taking herself off of her medication. Melissa lashed out at Darlene and demanded to see her mother, only to be told that it wasn't’t possible. Roger stepped in to help reassure Darlene that it was nobody’s fault and that Amelia’s strength would see her through. Delilah asked Lionel and TJ to the Dane Mansion for lunch. Raven took her shots at TJ’s past with Della Johnson, claiming he got her pregnant and that she had left school because of it. TJ later reveals that he paid Della the money she had always sought, and that she recanted his parentage of her child. Lionel translates it as a payoff. TJ also reveals he has relocated to Lafayette as he has bought shares in a small local oil company. They then toast to the recent success of DVP and the subsequent success of SinCo Refineries. As all prepared for the charity ball in the Montgomery house, Melissa felt guilt over attending while Amelia is in the hospital. Vernon assured her that Amelia would not want them to sit around lamenting over her. Melissa apologized to Darlene for her earlier outburst, and then revealed she was waiting for her “date” to arrive. Vernon seethed when he learned her date was none other that TJ. She later accused TJ of returning to Lafayette with an agenda. Delilah traded insults with Raven as they prepared to leave for the charity ball. Raven took great pleasure in Delilah’s discomfort when she revealed her date for the evening was Chet Robertson. Privately, she accused him of doing it to make her jealous. She reminded him that she is still his boss. Later at the ball, Raven and Delilah’s feud escalated to a fevered pitch as Delilah delivered her famous slap! At the ball, Darlene lamented about keeping the truth about her pregnancy from Lionel. Roger continued to warn her but to no avail. As she crossed the ballroom to talk to Lionel, Delilah had harsh words for her. Just as Darlene was about to reveal the truth about her pregnancy, an earthquake struck causing a part of the roof to collapse. Vernon called out to Delilah and she to him as the roof came down. The episode ended with Delilah’s horrified scream.



EPISODE SIX
"Who's Your Daddy?"


At the hospital after the earthquake, Darlene remained unconscious as Roger agonized over the fact that she was prepared to tell Lionel the truth about the baby. Lionel showed up and demanded to see Darlene, but Roger refused and threatened him. At the wrong moment, a nurse came to tell Roger that Darlene and “The baby” were both doing well. Lionel immediately surmised that the baby is his. Desperate, Roger lied and said there was no possible way and that Darlene was certain of it. Delilah was relieved to see Raven unharmed, but the reunion was short lived as the two reduced to bickering. Raven again made an unveiled threat to put Delilah in her place. Raven later makes a call demanding an emergency DVP Board meeting be called in lieu of the earthquake. Chet overhears this and demands to know what she is really up to. After threat of exposure, Raven revealed that she is taking control of DVP. Roger, Vernon, and Melissa were shocked when Darlene regained consciousness, but was unable to remember anything. Meanwhile Dr. Garrett revealed the news of Darlene’s pregnancy to Vernon. When Vernon tried to congratulate him, Roger broke down and confessed the truth; that the baby is Lionel’s and that Darlene was going to reveal the truth before the earthquake. Lionel showed up with Marc in tow with a court order forcing a paternity test on the embryo, signed by Hugh Devereaux. Roger panics when Vernon calmly agrees to the test. Lionel revealed to Delilah that Darlene is pregnant and that the baby could in fact be his. She accuses him of not caring about her and he responded by proposing marriage! She agreed and sealed the deal with a quickie in a utility closet! After she sent Lionel on her way, she overheard Vernon blackmailing Dr. Garrett, and confronted him when he came out. The two made a pact to do anything necessary to keep the paternity of the baby a secret. As she was leaving, she turned and thanked Vernon for saving her life during the earthquake. Roger tried to reconnect with an amnesiac Darlene. Vernon called him out of the room and presented him with the falsified test results. Raven revealed her new partner, TJ Sinclaire! They announce that they have formed a corporation, and now own enough stock to take over DVP! Vernon arrived home to find Amelia waiting for him! He tells her what has happened with Darlene. Alarmed, she asserted she must get to the hospital to be with her. When Vernon remarked he would wait at the house for word from the doctor, she shocked him with the revelation that she had begun divorce proceedings against him. She further went on to produce a court order, signed by Hugh Devereaux that grants her temporary ownership of the mansion. She had Vernon escorted from the property.



EPISODE SEVEN
"Beyond the Grave"


Amelia and Roger brought an amnesiac Darlene back to the mansion after being released from the hospital. Melissa swept Amelia out of the room before Lionel arrived and hurled accusations of fixing the paternity test at Roger and Vernon. After Lionel was taken away by security, Darlene experienced a glimmer of memory when she referred to Vernon as “Daddy”. After Simms escorted Darlene to her room, a panicked Roger voiced his concerns about Lionel’s quest for the truth about the baby. Vernon assured Roger that Dr. Garrett would not say a word about the doctored results. Melissa chastised Amelia for throwing Vernon out of his own home, but was told to mind her own business. Vernon interrupted and asked to speak with Amelia privately. Vernon attempted to get her to back down on the divorce, but she refused. They threw each other’s guilt about her father’s death at one another and exchanged threats. Chet was let-down in the aftermath of Raven and TJ’s take-over of DVP. He was later shocked when Raven revealed to Delilah that she was being re-located to another office down the hall to make room for her. Delilah threatened to see her crash and burn. Meanwhile Lionel attempted to get TJ to sell his shares in SinCo, but TJ wasn't’t biting. Lionel predicted doom for both he and Raven if he didn't’t put her on a short leash immediately. Melissa came to hurtle accusations of greed and selfishness at TJ, after learning of the deceptive takeover. Raven interrupted and enjoyed twisting the knife a bit more, before Melissa hurtled a wish for them to both lose everything. Vernon pulled out the stops to convince Hugh to reverse the court order and allow him to move back into his house. Later, Vernon and Amelia exchanged more words and she made her true intentions known; that she intends to take half of Montgomery Oil. Meanwhile Roger and Darlene shared a tender moment before Amelia convinced him to let Darlene rest. In the hallway, Amelia asks Roger if Vernon has him involved in anything. Roger becomes evasive, adding to her suspicions. Delilah was thrilled when she learned that her father, Nathan Dane, added a codicil to his will the year he died. It states that neither she, nor Raven, can increase their holdings in DVP by sale or trade. Delilah and Marc took great pleasure in revealing this to Raven and TJ. Marc told them that the only way they could use each other’s shares is if they were married. Raven later went to TJ’s hotel room as he was readying himself to have dinner with Melissa. He told Raven that his lawyers all say there is no way to break the codicil and that it is over. Raven refused to accept defeat and asked him to have one drink with her so they could think of something. He finally agreed to one drink .. a drink that she drugged. After TJ succumbed to the drug, Chet should up banging on the door, looking for TJ. Raven dragged Chet into the room and revealed an unconscious TJ. He was stunned when she revealed her plan to marry TJ! Vernon caught Delilah and Lionel in a compromising position. Lionel hurtled accusations about the paternity test, but Vernon was there to remind him that the results are what they are. After Lionel left, Vernon and Delilah shared a rare moment when they referred to their past. Both reaffirmed their alliance in keeping the truth about the baby a secret. Amelia was checking Vernon’s safe when his private line started ringing. When it didn't’t go to voice mail, she decided to answer it. On the other end, she heard a man with an Irish accent say “Vernon, it’s been acquired”. When the voice realized it was not Vernon he was talking to, he quickly hung up. Vernon interrupted and was furious that she was in his study and that she answered that private line. He ordered her out of the room and not to set foot in there again. She complied, but listed at the door as Vernon placed a call to the man with accent. He was elated when the man told him IT was finally theirs'. Vernon revealed he and Hugh would fly to Ireland immediately. He was furious when Amelia confronted him and demanded to know why he was flying off to Ireland, and who this person is. Vernon remained closed mouthed, fueling her curiosity even further. Raven took great pleasure in revealing to Delilah that she in fact had married TJ. Chet confirmed it as Delilah reeled. Melissa arrived on the scene and demanded to know where TJ was. An unconscious TJ awoke to Melissa demanding answers about his marriage to Raven!



EPISODE EIGHT
"The Device"


Delilah and Jacob were both shocked to learn that SC Enterprises, a subsidiary company of Lionel's, owns enough stock in DVP to stop Raven and TJ's takeover. Delilah immediately began making plans to move her's and Lionel's wedding date up when she discovered Lionel's forgotten cell phone. Darlene called, claiming to be having a memory. Delilah forcefully told her to stay away from her finance. Meanwhile, Roger panicked when he learned Darlene's memory of the earthquake, and Lionel, might be returning. Melissa came back to the Dane mansion to give back a stuffed animal TJ had won for her at the carnival. TJ begs her to forgive him but she refused. He told her that he meant every word when he told her he loved her, but she coldly reminded him that he married another woman. He told her he didn't remember to which she issued a challenge, have the marriage annulled. Raven then decided to walk in wearing something slinky and taunt Melissa. Melissa stormed out and Raven smugly told TJ it served him right. TJ then decided to get the upper hand and told her it was time to get down to business. She figured that was a good idea, until she realized he wasn't referring to oil. He reminded her that unless they consummate the marriage, he can and WILL have it annulled. Chet then arrived paving the way for TJ to taunt both of them. After TJ left, Chet mused that they can never be together as long as she is married to TJ. Raven complained that there is no other way, but was shocked at the suggestion Chet put forward; they could kill TJ! Melissa later returned to the mansion to have it out further with TJ and admitted that she would love nothing more that to believe him. Raven then came in and revealed that TJ had been trying to get her into bed earlier. TJ scrambled to explain, but Melissa ran off vowing never to forgive him. TJ then warned Raven that he had nothing left but to make her life as miserable as possible! Scared, Raven then called Chet and told him that there is no other way, TJ has to die! Later, Chet plotted exactly how they would do it, but Raven began to have second thoughts. TJ entered and enjoyed taunting them both, using Candace to help him. TJ unknowingly sealed his fate and Raven affirmed he must die. Roger sweat bullets as Darlene sat poised on the brink of her memory returning. Dr. Garrett privately confronted Roger and told him that if and when Darlene's memory returned, she would be told the truth about the baby and Vernon's phony paternity test. Lionel walked up to Roger issuing a sinister threat to the good doctor. They were interrupted by cries from Darlene as her memory came flooding back to her. The truth about Roger and the baby's paternity was revealed. Roger later came back to the room only to hear Darlene profess her love for Lionel. Darlene coldly confronted him about his lies and told him to leave, and never come back. Roger ran out and straight into Delilah. He told her that he felt sorry for her, for both of them before rushing off. Delilah then went in and learned that Darlene's memory had returned and that the truth about the baby's paternity had been revealed. Lionel was suddenly called out of the room and Delilah issued a threat, stay away from Lionel or she will be sorry. Later, back at Marc's apartment, Roger decided he couldn't hurt Darlene any more and took a bottle of sleeping pills! Meanwhile, Lionel chastises Delilah for being so hard on Darlene. Delilah asked him if there is something he would like to tell her. Darlene then came out and decided she needed to leave so they could talk. She insisted she needed to take the stairs because the elevator made her sick even at the insistence of a wheelchair by her nurse. Lionel then insisted on taking her home which infuriated Delilah even further. When Darlene made the mistake of touching Lionel, Delilah exploded and Darlene fell down the stairs! Amelia follows Vernon and Hugh in a taxi to a hidden airstrip in the country. Vernon and Hugh discussed the ramifications of "it" and whether their friend Connelly could be trusted. Later, on the jet, Amelia was forced to hide in the luggage area to avoid being found as Hugh continued to be amazed that "it" truly exists at all. It is revealed that their father's found "it" on an expedition to Antarctica and that they were both astounded by the find. Hugh expresses his fears of Vernon's true motives. After arriving in Ireland, Amelia follows them to their rendezvous with Connelly only to see them knocked out and then prisoner!
