A Drama of the New South

JEAN FRAZIER-LEE (Raven Dane)

Jean is thrilled and grateful to be playing devious “Raven” in Eye of the Storm, and looks forward to being a character you'll love to hate. Having lived in Louisiana gives her special insight into the role. Jean, has won awards for such past roles as Aunt Martha in Arsenic and Old Lace, Queen Gertrude in Hamlet, and Catherine of Aragon in Henry VIII.. One of the highlights of Jean's life was auditioning and being accepted into the Stella Adler School of Performing Arts at NYU. Unfortunately, lack of funding made it impossible for her to attend. Jean studied Theatre Journalism, Speech Communications, and radio/television production in high school and college. She created and, for eight years produced, and hosted “The Dixie Hour”, a weekly radio program which continues on the air at KSDS Jazz 88.3 in San Diego. She honed her vocal skills reading the News as well as doing voice-over for radio promos and public service announcements. She also wrote, produced, directed, or acted in several television public service spots. Since moving to the Seattle area, Jean, along with her husband, Robert is an actor, and co-founding Director of Anastasis Productions, a small performing arts troupe. Once a month she can be seen on stage at Saturday Night Life, a comedy dinner theater at their local church in Kent, WA. Here she may become any number of zany characters, from Noah's wife with a Brooklyn accent to a spaced out flower child working at the airline ticket counter. Jean's bill paying jobs have primarily involved computerized ticketing, at TicketMaster in San Diego, and currently, Alaska Airlines, Group Sales in Seattle.
