A Drama of the New South
Robert began his voice career many many years ago while doing a weekly show at his community college radio station. During this time he began participating in a weekly radio improv program where his penchant for oddball voices came in handy. This was interrupted for twenty or so years as he worked in the Sports Medicine industry; in Collegiate and Professional sports, as well as in private clinics. Currently, he writes, acts, and with wife Jean, directs the drama ministry at their local church. Together, they have produced a monthly comedy dinner theater for the past five years. He is founding co-director of Anastasis Productions, a Christian performing arts troupe. Several of his short plays and comedy sketches have been performed worldwide. “After the Garden”, a humorous look at Adam and Eve's first argument has been published in “Millennium Monologues”, a scene study book for drama students. Listening to accents, and dialects is a hobby, and he may be heard on occasion launching into a Belfast brogue for self amusement. Or he may be seen on stage from time to time playing a devil that sounds strangely like Jack Nicholson, or a detective doing a cheap Bogart impersonation. Currently working as a marine carpenter for a local yacht building company, Robert hopes to open a performing arts coffee house in the near future.
